 Mode Of Selection 
The selection process for the SSC Stenographer (SSC) recruitment includes the following steps:

    1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
      • The CBT is an online examination comprising multiple-choice questions across three sections:
        • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 questions
        • General Awareness: 50 questions
        • English Language & Comprehension: 100 questions
      • The exam carries a total of 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours.
      • There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
    2. Skill Test:
      • Candidates who qualify in the CBT are shortlisted for the skill test, which assesses stenography skills.
      • The skill test involves a dictation of 10 minutes in English or Hindi at the following speeds:
        • Grade C: 100 words per minute
        • Grade D: 80 words per minute
      • Transcription time varies by grade and language:
        • Grade C: 40 minutes (English) or 55 minutes (Hindi)
        • Grade D: 50 minutes (English) or 65 minutes (Hindi)
